If you'd like to visit an original, local Köln restaurant, this is a good place. Quite authentic with the old photos and clocks on the walls. You can try different German flavors here. We had steaks and goulash and they were ok, not amazing, and also not cheap. The staff was really friendly, but the service in general was slow.

Very friendly and helpful service. We went to find a traditional homely German place to experience local food and we found exactly that. Good big portions. Full of local people of all ages. A very down to earth place. Food was absolutely delicious. We had pork stuffed with sheep's cheese. It came with delicious fried potatos and salad. Plenty of gluten free options although not a designated gluten free menu.

We were in town for a short visit, and the family wanted an authentic German experience. This place was a bulls-eye for that. Friendly service, great food, and a nice local flavor. My wife really enjoyed the paprika schnitzel. Generous portions, too, nobody could finish everything on their plate.

Excellent food and atmosphere, Anita was excellent and spoke English. She suggested an asparagus and schnitzel dish that was delicious!!!

Great food. I had the jägerschnitzel. My friend had the schnitzel champignon which was mushrooms with hollandaise served with fried potatoes with bacon. It was delicious. Another member of the group had the gulasch soup and enjoyed that. The waitress was great. I would definitely go here again.

A great local place, we stumbled across this venue and although they were busy they fitted us in. The food was great and service excellent. Well worth a visit.

Haus Zeyen has a great atompshere and seems to be busy even during the week, so making a reservation is a good idea. Typical Brauhaus style restaurant with a great cuisine: the pfeffer (pepper) and paparika Schnitzel were absulotely great! The menu has also nice suggestions. If you want to escape from the overcrowded restaurants near Neumarkt and Heumarkt, this is your secret spot across the water.

Well cooked steak that’s not overly salty, great tasting potatoes with bacon bits, refreshing salad with beets and carrots, what a meal to end our vacation in Germany! I wholeheartedly recommend this place.
